Mini diamond anvils for X-ray Raman scattering spectroscopy HP experiments |
Almax easyLab supplies a lot of miniature Boehler-Almax diamond anvils for this inelastic scattering method that uses hard X-rays of the order of 10 keV to measure energy-loss spectra at absorption edges of light elements (Si, Mg, O etc.) with an energy resolution below 1 eV. These conical diamonds have diameters down to 1.00 mm and thicknesses down to 0.50 mm which allow pressure generation up to 70 GPa often – but not exclusively - in conjunction with PCD diamond seats (only 1 size available: diameter 13.65 mm and thickness of 4.00 mm). This set-up significantly enhances the signal-to-noise ratio of this XRS technique.

Maxi synthetic CVD diamond anvils for neutron HP experiments |
Almax easyLab is supplying some very large diamond anvils polished from synthetic type IIa CVD diamond. Diameters up to 10.00 mm and thickness up to 5.00 mm are available these days. The material is clean from any inclusions or cracks, but there is still some evenly distributed birefringence present.
