The Diacell® LN2-DAC System is a liquid nitrogen bath cryostat with integrated high pressure diamond anvil cell.
Simplicity and cost effectiveness are the key factors of the Diacell® LN2-DAC system. The liquid nitrogen cooled cryostat provides a variable temperature sample environment with no valves or adjustments required (temperature controller is included).
Designed with versatility in mind, the system comes with the Diacell® CryoDAC-Nitro integrated (fitted with type Ia diamond anvils), enabling work down to 77 K and up to 50 GPa. Pressure can be changed in the cell whilst cold, since the CryoDAC-Nitro is gas membrane driven.
Four quartz windows are standard on the cryostat, which also has a port enabling the feedthrough of the gas membrane line. An optional fibre optic or electrical feedthrough port is also available.
Temperature below 77 K can be achieved (down to around 65 K) can be achieved with a vacuum level. In this case an optional pumping manyfold is required (not supplied).
Note: Gas controller is sold separately.
A turbo pump is recommended to evacuate the vacuum shroud. A primary pump with a nitrogen cold trap can also be used but in this case, the thermal performance will not be optimal, leading to a slightly higher base temperature.
