Anvils and seats replacement
If you own a M-A-II cell from former HPDO, and the diamonds have been damaged and need replacement, we can provide this upgrade service. The scope of the work is as follow:
- HPDO (M-A-II) repaired at our facilities;
- General inspection;
- Anvils and seats replacement;
- Remounting (re-gluing) of diamond anvils;
- Realignment of the cell.

Description
The upgrade service is specific to the HPDO M-A-II thumb-screw compression-type diamond anvil cells used for FTIR spectroscopy.
The scope of the work is the replacement of the existing anvils and seats.
The new anvils are Boehler-Almax design with the below specifications:
- Diamond anvil, type IIag CVD, 8-sided, diameter 2.30 mm – 30°, culet of 0.80 mm, (100)-oriented [P02623]
The new anvils will be glued on matching tungsten carbide seats :
- M-A-II, Hemispherical Mount (95°) (Rev 03) [P01612];
- M-A-II, Flat Diamond Mount (95°) (Rev 03) [P01611].
The cell needs to be sent to our facilities for the work to be carried out.
Before returning any equipment it is mandatory to obtain a RMA (Return Material Authorisation) reference number which will be accompanied with the shipping instructions.
