Description
By mimicking a conventional piston-cylinder diamond anvil cell, the Diacell Gasket Indenter enables the indentation of gaskets without risking the precious diamond anvils.
The Diacell Gasket Indenter uses tungsten carbide anvils (WC). The dies design are matching the diamond anvil design. The available dies are:
- WC Anvil for Conical Boehler-Almax X=3.30 mm / 85° Design
- WC Anvil for Conical Boehler-Almax X=3.10 mm / 70° Design
- WC Anvil for Diacell X= 2.50 mm Design
- WC Anvil for Diacell X= 3.10 mm Design
The Diacell Gasket Indenter is supplied with a pair of dies of your choice. Additional WC anvils may be ordered separately. Current culet sizes available are from 0.30 up to 0.90 mm. If you need a specific size please get in touch with us.
Upon request the Gasket Indenter can be also fitted with diamond anvils.

FAQs
How do I chose the culet size for the die?
Anvil Culet size (µm) | 300 | 400 | 500 | 600 | 700 | 800 | 900 |
(*) WC Dies culet size (µm) | 250 | 350 | 450 | 550 | 650 | 750 | 850 |
(*) With the gasket indenter, it is always better to have a die with a smaller culet (usually by 50 µm). The Gasket Indenter is then used mainly to extrude most of the metal during the indentation process. The gasket with a round indented mark and indented to a thickness of around 100 µm is then placed in the DAC and the diamond anvil just needs to make a small mark of its 16 facets in the metal left around the pre-indented mark.
