FAQs
How do I select the culet size for the tungsten carbide die?
The main purpose of the Gasket Indenter is to extrude most of the metal during the indentation process. When using the Gasket Indenter for gasket preparation, it is always better to have dies with a slightly smaller culet size than the diamond anvil culet size. The dies are usually undersized by 50 Āµm.
After using the Gasket Indenter, the gasket with a round indented mark and indented to a thickness of around 100 Āµm is next placed in the DAC.Ā Then, the diamond anvil just needs to make a small mark of its 16 facets in the metal left around the pre-indented mark.
